The majority of phone owners out there would not bother to tinker with the innards, and for Android phone owners, that would mean rooting your device – where it will basically allow the user to access system files which Google originally does not want you to mess around with. This is a double edged sword, as it enables one to achieve a higher degree of functionality with cleverly written apps, while on the other hand it might be the doorway to malicious programming. Not only that, hardware manufacturers ensure that rooting your device would more or less void your warranty, and it does take a fair amount of know-how to navigate through the rooting process as there is a risk of bricking your device.

One click methods are the preferred choice for casual users, and the HTC Super Tool is one such way. This Windows-based program will do all the hard work on your behalf whenever you want to root your device, as well as unlock a bootloader in the process. It is a third party tool that is said to work on a variety of HTC devices such as the Evo Design 4G, Evo 4G, Evo 3D, Evo Shift, G2, MT3Gs, MT4G, MT4Gs, Inspire, Sensation, Incredible, Wildfire S, and the Amaze 4G. Have you given it a go yet, and how do you find it?
