Video glasses might offer a new dimension when it comes to viewing videos in the comfort of your living room, but how many of those are of the stylish variety that you won’t mind wearing them for the sake of doing so? The Lumus video glasses might prove to be just the model for fashionistas who love their tech – where this pair of see-through, HD video glasses do seem to hail from the future that displays HD video right in front of your eyes, while letting you interact with the world around you thanks to the wonders of augmented reality.

Lumus, in a nutshell, will come embedded a pair of light pumps right in the earpieces, where it will send and refract light down the lens. This would enable electronics to move away from the eyes, resulting in a lighter and more streamlined experience. The lenses are truly transparent, and can even be specially tuned to cater for those who suffer from vision problems. When enabled, the glasses will show off a crystal clear, 87″ display approximately ten feet away from you, coming in 1280 x 720 pixel resolution. Lumus even developed iPhone-compatible adapters so that each pair is full well capable of showing off HD video right through the pumps and into the lenses.

Expect to see the Lumus video glasses in action at CES next year, so we do hope to bump into them at Vegas in January.
