For those who might be on the lookout for a new monitor, come January 18th 2012, NEC is set to unveil a couple of new WUXGA 24” LED displays in Japan in the form of the MultiSync LCD-EA243WM, and the MultiSync LCD-EA243WM-BK (basically white and black versions).
Both versions will feature 20 to 46W power consumption, sport a 25,000:1 contrast ratio, 250cd/m2 brightness, HDMI, DisplayPort, DVI-D, mini-D-SUB and USB connectivity along with one rather unique feature, an ECO MODE display. For those who might be particularly environmentally conscious, the ECO MODE display basically shows the user the amount of CO2 emissions that are given out while the display is powered on.
Like we said earlier, NEC’s new display will be debuted in Japan but no word if the company has any plans to bring it over to the US. For those living in Japan and who might be interested in picking up the LCD-EA243WM display for themselves, they are expected to retail for ¥45,000.
