Do you own a Nintendo 3DS? If you have answered in the affirmative, then you might be pleased to know that at long last, the firmware update that was originally slated for a November release has finally arrived. I guess a week into December ain’t too shabby, at least we are not talking about a month or more. This particular firmware update will see the inclusion of DLC capabilities and 3D video recording amongst others. For those who have already installed the update, browsing through the system revealed a spanking new “Nintendo Zone” app that helps you interface with “participating locations,” which enables one to receive special content from select free Wi-Fi hotspots. Not only that, the 3DS Camera app will now be able to toggle between shooting videos or still, how about that? Of course, the piece de resistance would be the new “accomplishments” in the StreetPass Mii Plaza. These are “achievements” of sorts, and I believe it is an attempt for people to use the 3DS far more often than they currently do. How do you like your 3DS firmware update?
