SnakeWhile most of us don’t have our very first Nokia phones anymore, I’m pretty sure most of you can remember one of the most addictive games available on the phone: Snake. While we’re hard-pressed to find an alternative that plays as well as the original game, it looks like Nokia has saved us the trouble by putting it up on its blog. Featuring slightly different mechanics (the points vary according to how long you take to eat the pieces) but overall the gameplay is the same.

What’s great about this web version of snake is the ability to enter your name at the end of your run so you can check out where you stand on the leaderboard. If you’re feeling competitive, you can even ask your friends to play the game to see where they stand, just make sure you pick an uncommon name so you won’t be accused of cheating in the game.

Check out the Snake game at the source link right now (Flash required), and let us know if you manage to break into any of the top 10 lists! I personally didn’t fare very well, scoring only 646 points on the Python level.
