Don’t you think it to be rather strange for a smartphone manufacturer like Sony Ericsson to miss out on something as basic as the automatic brightness option on some of their smartphones? The Sony Ericsson Xperia ray is on the receiving end of this perceived ‘mistreatment’, never mind the fact that the smartphone does come with an ambient light sensor. As mom always said, if you want something done right, you had better do it yourself – which is why xda-developer member Arcatarc decided to work on a solution that will require Root Explorer in order to alter several values in the system files.
