Dijit, now on iPadDijit, the iPhone universal remote that is also a social TV program guide, is now available for the iPad (it’s an iPhone/iPad universal binary). We have seen a preview of the app back in December, and in my opinion, the larger tablet format makes it much more comfortable to use, especially because Dijit has carefully reworked the user interface for the iPad, instead of just “stretching” the existing iPhone app.

Interestingly, more and more people “browse” while watching TV. They may be searching for the actor’s name, a fact on Wikipedia or looking for a another program to zap to. Dijit makes all these things easier and instantly available in the living room. It also takes it to the next level by connecting to social networks like Facebook and Twitter, so that you can see what you friends watch and like.

Finally, Dijit can also act as a remote control when paired with the Beacon from Griffin Technology. This create “instant gratification” as you don’t need to grab another remote to take action. The app is available for download on the App Store.
