Lenovo IdeaPad and ThinkPad tablets to get Ice Cream Sandwich next quarter

Good news for those of you with Lenovo IdeaPad and ThinkPad tablets – according to reports online, the Android will be seeing upgrades to the latest version of the operating system sometime next quarter. The tablets have been out for awhile now (they launched last July with Android Honeycomb), the long overdue Ice Cream Sandwich update will definitely be a welcome addition when it arrives. It won’t be one of the earlier tablets to get ICS goodness, but like the saying goes: “better late than never”. We’ll keep you posted when the updates do start rolling out.

Android: Android is the mobile operating system from Google. The software was originally built by a company called Android Inc, that was purchased by Google in 2005. From its modest debuts, Android has become a powerhouse that powers not only smartphones and tablet, but a host of other less high-profile devices and gadgets. Lenovo: Lenovo Group Limited, commonly known as Lenovo, is a Chinese consumer electronics company that is based in Morrisville, North Carolina. The company was founded in 1984 in Beijing, China by Chinese businessman Liu Chuanzhi, and was eventually incorporated in Hong Kong in 1988 under its former name, Legend.
