Home > CellPhones > Nokia remains mum on MeeGo, might have outsold Windows Phone

We all know that Nokia’s latest gamble in the smartphone market involves an operating system that we would never have envisioned they shack up with – Windows Phone 7, but then again, weirder things have happened in the past as well (such as Microsoft Windows booting up on an Apple Mac computer). Nokia’s latest financial report for the last quarter of 2011 implied something that gives room for one to make wild speculations, including whether the MeeGo platform that powers the Nokia N9 actually outselling Windows Phone handsets in the last quarter of 2011. After all, Nokia too, did not release information on sales details of their Windows Phone handsets – and surely they would have trumpeted such a result if Windows Phone-based smartphones did well in the general market, in order to gain further momentum? What do you think of Nokia’s silence concerning MeeGo, or is it just a wild imagination running off into the sunset? [Press Release]
