Samsung 7 AMOLED displaySamsung announced the Galaxy Tab 7.7 back in September last year as the world’s first tablet to sport at Super AMOLED Plus display, and now it looks like the tablet will be joined by yet another AMOLED-toting sibling. The folks over at OLED-Display.net were tipped off by some insiders that Samsung has started the production of 7″ AMOLED displays with WSVGA resolution (600 x 1024) that will be used in tablets. While it hasn’t been confirmed yet, Samsung might be the displays in its own tablets or it could be selling them to other device manufacturers such as ASUS or Sony.

This new AMOLED display is also much brighter than the 7.7 AMOLED displays, with 400 nit brightness as opposed to only 250 nit – however, it does have a lower resolution. Will a 7″ AMOLED display make you pick up a Galaxy Tab?
