If you happen to be in the market for a new media player, Sony has recently unveiled their new Walkman B170 series of Walkman MP3 players. These MP3 players come in storage capacity sizes of 2GB and 4GB and measure in at 88.8 x 22.5 x 15.0mm and weighs a meager 28 grams. Hopefully the overall light weight of the MP3 player does not result in B170s slipping out of pockets unnoticed!

However despite its small form factor, according to Sony, “you’ll be blown away by rich, pumping low-end,” which means that those who favor bass over mid or highs will probably be more inclined to take the B170 for a test run. The MP3 player will also feature a color-matched LED that pulses in time with the music you’re playing and supposedly comes with a battery life of 18 hours non-stop playback. It will also feature quick charging that Sony claims will give 90 minutes of playback with just 3 minutes worth of charging.

The Sony Walkman B170 will also come with a host of other features, such as an onboard equalizer, voice recorder, a USB port and a clip that will attach it to your belt, bag strap or your clothing. Unfortunately did not mention how much the Walkman B170 would cost, but we can expect to see it available by the end of January 2012. [Press release]
