We previously reported about the Sony Xperia S arriving in the UK in March, but it looks like the phone is scheduled to arrive much earlier. A few days ago, Play.com listed the phone as arriving on January 30th – a week from today. Puzzled by the release date, The Inquirer reached out to the online retailer and received a confirmation from the company. However, Play.com has been known to change release dates, so don’t be surprised if the phone doesn’t arrive this month.
The Sony Xperia S features a 4.3″ HD Reality Display with Mobile Bravia Engine, a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, Android 2.3 Gingerbread (upgradeable to Ice Cream Sandwich), and a 12-megapixel rear camera with an Exmor R photo sensor. The Sony Xperia S is up for pre-order now at Play.com for $701 (£449.99).
