[CES 2012] Toshiba appeals to the young crowd with the Camileo Clip camcorder (which was announced at IFA last year), proudly calling it the “ultimate young adventurer’s ideal tool’, where it will cram in a slew of features that are normally available in full-sized camcorders and not in something this diminutive where size is concerned. Of course, to make sure the Camileo Clip is capable of standing up to the rigors of a “young adventurer” who is bound to take a few spills and tumbles every now and then, it will come in a ruggedized form factor, being splash-resistant and shock-proof. An accompanying clip will let you snap it onto your clothing or belt so that it can capture every second of your adventure, whether you are about to destroy the Sauron’s ring in the fires of Mount Doom, or making that Death Star trench run.The Toshiba Camileo Clip will tip the scales at 2.5 ounces, measuring 3.1″ in height and 1.8″ wide, as well as 0.6″ thick. To make sure shaky hands do not affect the quality of the video too much, Toshiba also threw in Electronic Image Stabilization so that rapid movements will not cause too much of a bump. You can choose from dark blue, deep red, lime green and white colors for the Toshiba Camileo Clip, where it will also arrive in February for just $99.99.
