Zeemote has just announced that their Unity Plug-in will be on the receiving end of a major upgrade, which will bump up the version from 1.0.1 to 1.1.0. This particular upgrade will work in tandem with the latest ZDK version 1.7.0, which means that the entire gamut of Unity developers are able to easily add not only Zeemote JS-1 controller compatibility, but also other popular game controllers that are available in the market. The updated ZDK and Unity Plug-in for Android’s efforts in expanding the target controllers that are connected to Android smartphones and tablets would mean developers are able to have more access to avid game users as well as increase market visibility.

With Zeemote’s core technology, this would mean all Unity Developers are now able to create an optimum gaming experience – something that was previously unheard of via touchscreen control alone, leading to some companies roll out third party gaming accessories that have hit the market to date with varying degrees of success. Do you think with more traditional gaming controllers playing nice with Android smartphones, the type of games released would be different in nature? [Press Release]
