One of the perks of owning an ultrabook, like the ASUS Zenbook UX31, is its “instant on” feature. For those who are wondering what it is, it basically allows the device to resume from sleep mode almost instantly, or at least significantly and noticeably faster compared to regular notebooks or desktop PCs. The good news is that if you own an ASUS netbook, models Eee PC 1025C or 1025CE, you’re in luck as ASUS is bringing the instant on feature to your devices.

This is an app that ASUS has released for both those netbooks and is claiming an instant on feature that allows either model to resume from sleep mode in just 3 seconds. On top of that, the new sleep mode has also been boasted to provide the user with 21 days of sleep time while using the Instant On feature, which we guess is good to know that it isn’t exactly a battery killer.

There’s a good chance that both the Eee PC 1025C and 1025CE will be shipped with the Instant On app, but in case they aren’t, the software is available for download via ASUS’s support page for the 1025C and the 1025CE under “Utilities”. If any of our readers out there have managed to try their hands on the Instant On app, we’d like to hear from you if it really does what ASUS has advertised, and if it might be comparable to ultrabooks.
