[MWC 2012] The Asus transformer Pad Infinity was just announced, and while it superficially looks like the Asus Transformer Prime, it is different on a few very important points: it has a full HD (1920×1080) display, a wireless broadband (HSPA+ and LTE) version with a SnapDragon dual-core processor (where the Transformer Prime had a quad-core Tegra 3 processor). To be clear, there is apparently a Tegra 3 version, which is probably the non 3G/4G version.

The Asus Transformer Pad Infinity has a “premium” feel, even more so than the Transformer Prime, in my opinion. Beyond these obvious differences, the Asus Transformer Pad Infinity looks and feels very much like the Transformer Prime in my opinion. The 1080p display looks incredibly sharp, although I have to admit that this wasn’t the first upgrade that I had in mind (mobile broadband was). In any case, it’s great to have that option.
