Good news for owners of the HTC EVO Shift 4G – a new software update for the phone has started rolling out today according to an announcement from Sprint. Unfortunately it’s not Ice Cream Sandwich, but it does introduce a whole load of fixes to the phone: security enhancements, bug fixes, software tweaks, a new version of the Peep client and most importantly: improved battery life. The update can be initiated manually starting today, and OTA notifications will start arriving February 7th. Head over to the official Sprint forums for more information.
