HTC as a smartphone manufacturer (and one tablet in their line up) is not exactly going great guns at the moment with their performance, having come down from the dizzying heights where they seemingly could not do any wrong in terms of Android-powered handsets. Samsung has certainly made great strides, especially with the Galaxy S2 (and upcoming Galaxy S3 this May), not to mention LG and Sony Ericsson (that is the past, it is just Sony for now and the future) also being direct competitors in the hardware department. HTC will certainly need to hit back hard in the future, and the HTC Ville might be their ticket.

Not spotted for the first time, but this super slim Android-powered smartphone has been seen again in greater detail this time around, where it will run on HTC Sense 4.0, and has been speculated to run on a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, a 4.3″ Super AMOLED qHD display, and a thickness that does not pass 9mm – but will it rival Samsung’s Galaxy S3 that is speculated to be just 7mm thin? Hopefully more details will be revealed at MWC 2012 that is happening later this month. [Chinese Page]
