Heads up – if you’ve been looking forward to getting your hands on the Huawei Honor, perhaps AT&T might be the carrier the device will be landing on. The Huawei Honor was spotted recently at the FCC and featured radios compatible with AT&T’s 3G and HSPA+ bands. While this does not necessarily confirm the device for AT&T, it does show some potential although right now nothing has been officially revealed yet.
For those who forgot, the Huawei Honor features a 4” 854×480 display, a 1.4GHz single-core Qualcomm processor with 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage, an 8MP rear-facing camera that is capable of 720p HD video recording, a microSD card slot for memory expansion and at this point we’re not sure if the device will come shipped with the latest Android 4.0 update preinstalled, or if it will come with Gingerbread and we will need to manually pull the update ourselves.
It’s a pretty modest phone and features a street price of $599, which means if and when it does arrive on AT&T, hopefully it will be offered at a more affordable subsidized price on contract. In the mean time if you’re wondering if the Huawei Honor is a device worth your consideration, check out our review of the phone for more information.
