The iPod nano was first unveiled to the world as a tiny alternative to the hard drive based iPod, and has since carried on that tradition after numerous generations, culminating in the current model that has a multi-touch display alongside numerous other features. Well, spyshots showed off on Japanese blog Apple.pro point towards a prototype iPod nano that has a tiny portal which cannot be mistaken for anything else apart from a camera. This hole has been at the back, and will continue on through the clip in order to match up with images from a patent filing which was revealed in late 2011. The patent touched on a tiny piezoelectric speaker that will be integrated into the clip, while showing off said hole so that a built-in camera is able to snap photos on-the-go. This would certainly add to the capabilities of the iPod nano if this prototype ever hits the market as the next version.
