Heads up Mortal Kombat fans! Yes, we know that Mortal Kombat is headed onto Sony’s PlayStation Vita, but what exactly will you be getting for your money? Well thanks to the US PlayStation Blog, we now have about a glorious two minutes worth of gameplay footage (which you can see above) of Mortal Kombat played out on the PlayStation Vita, and according to Sid Shuman, it reportedly plays identically to its PlayStation 3 counterpart. This means that we should be able to expect blood and gore at a fluid 60fps!

The video also went on to demonstrate multiplayer mode (2 players as opposed to 4 in the PS3 version), and showcased playable characters such as Freddy Krueger, Kenshi, Rain and Skarlet, along with some of the game’s features for the PlayStation Vita, such as the need to wipe the “blood” away from your screen as the fight progresses. For more information pop on over the to US PlayStation Blog in the source link below, or watch the gameplay video above. With the game on track for a spring 2012 release, who else is excited to get their hands dirty?
