If you’ve enjoyed the Metal Gear Solid franchise so far, you will be pleased to hear that with Platinum Games working on Metal Gear Rising, this means that Kojima Productions are now free to work on a new game such as another Metal Gear Solid. Hints of Metal Gear Solid 5 were revealed late last year when images of a new game surfaced from Kojima Productions that seemed military in concept, which then helped to lend credibility to the possibility of MGS5 seeing a launch in the not-so-distant future.

However if you ever needed confirmation that the next Metal Gear Solid was in the works, the game studio has begun a recruitment drive for the “next” MGS on a global scale, and are offering positions in both Tokyo and California. While the details are scarce and virtually unknown at this point, the game is expected to arrive on “high-end consoles and PC” and will be built on the company’s proprietary FOX Engine.

Given the global scale of operations for the “next” MGS, it looks like fans are in for a treat as the next installment could be a pretty big one. At the moment it appears that development for the game has barely started, which means that any hope of seeing it in 2012 is close no zero, but we guess fans now have something to look forward to. Are you excited? I know I am!
