Getting bored of the current slew of Windows Phone devices available to you? Well, if you’re interested in knowing, it looks like there’s a possibility of us getting more than just candy bar phones from Nokia in the future. According to a slide that was shown off at Nokia World last week, we might be seeing some interesting Nokia-Windows Phone devices in the future – assuming the illustrations were meant to be taken literally.
In a screenshot showing the devices of “Tomorrow”, there is going to be a number different form factors for Nokia’s future Windows Phone devices. Since we know there won’t be any Windows Phone tablets (they’ll be running on Windows 8 instead), we can rule those out, but the rest of the devices look like they could possibly be: a large touchscreen phone with no hardware buttons, a regular candy bar shape device, a BlackBerry-like device with a QWERTY keyboard, a smaller full touchscreen device, and one very interesting tiny device.
Looking like some sort of iPod Nano, it looks like Microsoft/Nokia might want to take a shot at the tiny form factor market with Windows Phone as well. There’s a chance that the illustrations weren’t meant to be taken literally and don’t mean a thing, but if they do – I guess this is our first glimpse into Nokia’s Windows Phone future.
