There are whispers on the ground that what you see above here is actually the Nokia 801, which will be powered by the Symbian Belle operating system. Eldar Murtazin, who has had hits and misses in his rumor mill, claims that the Nokia 801 is the real deal, although it remains to be confirmed just yet. After all, there were previous rumors of the Nokia Lumia 910 that had a 12-megapixel being debunked officially, so the same level of “risk” might also be connected to the Nokia 801. Just in case this is not a rumor, specifications of the Nokia 801 might include a 4″ AMOLED Clear Black display at 640 x 360 resolution (which is pretty low actually in this day and age and for its size), a 1.4GHz processor, 512MB RAM, and a 12-megapixel camera with 1080p video recording capability. What do you think of this rumor – is it real or not? I personally do not think that Symbian has that bright a future where smartphones are concerned, and seeing how receptive folks are to Windows Phone with Nokia’s recent efforts, a Windows Phone powered Nokia 801 might be more believable. To each his or her own…
