The Nook Touch e-book reader does not exactly have the fastest screen refresh rates in the market, but that does not mean the Nook Touch is a slouch in terms of performance. An enterprising hacker over at the XDA forums managed to discover a new method of enabling a fast refresh mode on the Nook Touch, and has decided to share this knowledge with the rest of the world. What you see in the video is not a bug, nor is it a video error on YouTube. Rather, it is because the Nook Touch refreshes so fast, that half the display is left lagging. Yes, this is one of the videos where you need seeing is believing. Basically, anyone who owns a standard hacked Nook Touch is able to install the code for this supr fast refresh – does this mean a video playback capable Nook Touch is very close to reality?
