Acer does not only make computers, you know, but they too are in the projector business – and now, the latest DLP projector comes in the form of the Acer H6500. Just what does the Acer H6500 offer? For starters, it delivers 1080p Full HD projection to keep up with the times, in addition to exceptional color fidelity, never mind if you are making a presentation or watching a movie in environments with bright ambient light. Capable of displaying true 24fps 1080p video content directly from a Blu-ray Disc player thanks to its HDMI interface, which would certainly make this the ideal projector if you are a movie buff, and prefer a DLP projector instead of a large screen TV due to its versatility and portability.

With a brightness level that can reach up to 2,100 ANSI lumens, it can also be dimmed to 1,680 in order to save some juice. Acer also threw in their very own eColor Boost II+ technology and wall-color compensation, allowing the Acer H6500 to make colors pop on any surface, never mind if it is on tinted walls. Images will be displayed in the native 16:9 aspect ratio, where you are able to adjust it to 4:3. There is also the 10,000:1 contrast ratio that results in deeper darks and brighter whites without sacrificing on the crispness of the images. Expect to fork out $899.99 if you want to bring home the Acer H6500 home theater projector. [Press Release]
