A while back according to Flickr’s usage reports, it seemed that Apple’s iPhone 4 was the most popular camera used by Flickr users to upload photos to its website. That continued to be true, at least until recently when a new Flickr usage report was revealed that showed the iPhone 4 losing its top spot to Canon’s 5D MK II DSLR camera. It would seem that Canon’s popularity on Flickr has been on the rise, and thanks to the company outing the 5D MK III not too long ago (which subsequently led to a $300 price reduction in the 5D MK II), it seems that the 5D MK II found its way into the hands of Flickr owners who might not have been able to afford it normally. However with 3,544 Flickr users uploading their photos with the iPhone 4S yesterday and assuming that trend continues, the Canon 5D MK II’s reign as king of the hill (or Flickr) might be short lived.
