With Apple’s new Retina display for their third-generation iPad, we can only assume that reading digital magazines on it would be an absolute pleasure. Unfortunately it seems to have taken publishers a while to get on board the Retina display, but better late than never, right? If you enjoy magazines such as GQ or Wired, you will be pleased to hear that its publisher, Condé Nast has finally updated those magazines to include Retina support.

Unfortunately since the magazines have been updated with Retina support, this also means that the file sizes of the magazines have also increased, although exactly how much depends on the magazine and that particular issue, although given that some already come in at a few hundred MB, you can expect to add on an additional 50-100MB (once again, it’s subjective) for the Retina version. For those with 32GB or 64GB iPad models, you guys still have some wiggle room, but it looks like those on the 16GB model will have to start better managing their tablet’s internal memory.
