FBI logoWhile the Unreal Engine 3 might be used to power some of your favorite video games out there, it looks like the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) will be using it for more serious purposes. According to reports online, the FBI will be licensing the Unreal Engine 3 from Epic Games to create a multiplayer crime scene simulator to train its cadets. No other details about the project have been released so far, but this won’t be the first time the Unreal Engine is used for such things – many years ago, an earlier version of the engine was used to power America’s Army (an FPS game designed to help with the Army’s recruitment drive).
