You might feel as though you were in the land of giants should you happen to be in Australia, where Nokia set up a massive replica of the Windows Phone-powered Nokia Lumia 800. It is definitely an attention grabbing stunt for sure, and whether that will translate into smartphone sales or not for the Finnish manufacturer remains to be seen. This huge public installation will carry Nokia’s tagline, ‘The Amazing Everyday,’ and those living in Sydney might want to give it a go and leave your comments as to how responsive the touchscreen display is. I guess Windows Phone will be more of a hit worldwide than Windows Mobile will ever be, considering the amount of effort that Microsoft has put in to date. Hopefully it will spur Google and Apple to up the ante in future versions of their respective mobile operating systems, as the competitors push one another to the limits in a healthy manner.
