Griffin’s HELO TC Assault available today (updated)Remember the HELO TC Assault that was unveiled at CES 2012? If you’ve been waiting to get your hands on one, we’ve got some good news for you. As of today, the remote controlled helicopter is available for purchase. The helicopter can be controlled by any iOS or Android device – all you need to do is plug in the Flight Deck module into the headphone jack of your smartphone/tablet. In addition to flying around, the HELO TC Assault packs a missile launcher that comes with six missiles and can fire off two before needing a reload.

Other features include Auto Land, virtual joystick and tilt controls, and the ability to record up to three Flight Plans for easy repetition. The helicopter also has a twin-rotor design for increased stability, which should make flying a breeze. The HELO TC Assault is available now from Griffin Technology’s website with a price tag of $59.99.

Update (3/23): edited the line about how many missiles it can fire, thanks Gigglecreams!
