Ice Cream Sandwich for Galaxy Note delayed to Q2? Just recently, Samsung announced that they will be pushing out the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich to those who own the Galaxy S2, an in the same announcement, Samsung also mentioned other devices that are touted to receive the same operating system in due time, but definitely not sometime in the middle of the year. The Galaxy Note is one of them, and here we are with whispers on the grapevine that the Galaxy Note’s Ice Cream Sandwich update has been delayed to the second quarter of 2012, no thanks to a post on Samsung Norway’s Facebook page. Bear in mind that this could very well be Samsung Norway’s own Ice Cream Sandwich update release, and might not be representative of the rest of the world. What do you think – can you wait until Q2 for Ice Cream Sandwich on your Galaxy Note? I guess it there is always the possibility of having an unofficial Ice Cream Sandwich ROM pop up somewhere…

Galaxy Note: The Samsung Galaxy Note was introduced by Samsung during IFA 2011 in Berlin. It was the first smartphone to break the 5" display size barrier with an 5.3" 720p Super-AMOLED display. The international (non-US) version was powered by a Samsung Samsung Exynos 4210, while the U.S version used a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8255T. In terms of storage, the Galaxy Note came with 16GB or 32GB of internal flash memory, which could be supplemented with a microSD card. The battery has a capacity of 2500mAh, which was nice at the time, but has been surpassed since by the Galaxy Note 2, which has a 3100mAh battery.
