Lady Gaga surpasses 20 million Twitter followers

Britney Spears and Lady Gaga might be artists from different eras, separated by a decade or so in terms of exploding onto the mainstream consciousness, and the latter is definitely far more popular than the former, although each of them do hold respective world records (so to speak) in terms of social networking. Britney Spears is the first person to surpass the 2 million followers mark on Google+, and here we are with Lady Gaga zooming beyond the 20 million Twitter followers milestone. In second place is Justin Bieber, being 2 million followers behind, and it can be quite hard to say whether Lady Gaga will be able to preserve her place at the top since teen sensation Justin has certainly quite a strong following worldwide.
