When you are given a Lego set and you actually build a space shuttle out of it, your imagination will fuel it to head off towards faraway places. However, Romanina Raul Oaida has other plans in mind, and actually acted on the rather crazy idea of sending a Lego Space Shuttle to outer space, using a weather balloon and capturing the “flight” of this Lego Space Shuttle in a video as proof. If only it could have gone on to the International Space Station and drop by, saying “Hello!” to Japanese astronaut Satoshi Furukawa who recently constructed an International Space Station structure out of Lego while he was on the actual International Space Station. Talk about ironic! Well, the GoPro Hero saved the day by capturing all video footage that you can enjoy in the video above. Of course, all the necessary arrangements were made to ensure the Lego Space Shuttle received a safe landing. I wonder how the minifigs, if placed inside the faux space shuttle, would have felt if they were sentient.
