If you’ve got a pet at home and you’re looking for a robot vacuum cleaner to keep your house clean, Neato Robotics has got the solution for you. Called the Neato XV-21, this automatic vacuum cleaner has been desgined with pet owners and allergy sufferers in mind. It is touted to work on all floor types and has a special bristled brush to improve the pick-up of pet hair, dander and fibers, and runs quieter than previous models – especially on hardwood floors. It also packs a new filter, which is cleanable and designed for long-term use and gives the Neato XV-21 increased airflow and suction power to pick up and retain more than three times the fine dust particles of the company’s standard filter.
Fortunately for those of you who already own Neato automatic vacuum cleaners, you’ll be able to purchase the new brush and filter as an upgrade without having to replace the whole vacuum cleaner. And like other automatic vacuum cleaners, it automatically cleans your home without any assistance. All you need to do is program its schedule and you’re good to go. The Neato XV-21 can even return to its base to recharge itself when it is low on power.
The Neato XV-21 will be available for purchase for $429 MSRP at the end of April, along with the new pet and allergy filter ($29.99 MSRP) and Pet and Allergy Upgrade Kit that includes the new bristled brush ($59.99 MSRP) which works with all other existing Neato Robotics automatic vacuum cleaners. All you need to do is download a free version of the 2.6 firmware upgrade using the USB port on the back of unit.
