Well, what do you know? The new iPad has just been released, and it has already been jailbroken, potentially making it the fastest jailbreak to date for any iOS-powered device. Dev Team’s MuscleNerd is the person behind this jailbreak, having tweeted, “jailbroken iPad3: http://twitpic.com/8x48rt http://twitpic.com/8x48xg (Just a first step, still lots of work to do! No ETA!)” It is speculated that the A5X on the new iPad was jailbroken via similar iOS 5.1 exploits and loopholes, which makes sense considering how they share a similar processor as well as graphics. Hopefully, it will be a matter of weeks before a jailbreak solution for the masses is ready to rock and roll.
