Nokia 808 PureView could skip North AmericaBack in November last year, Nokia did mention that they will not be rolling out new Symbian-powered phones in the US, and since the 41-megapixel shooter known as the Nokia 808 PureView was released with Symbian as its operating system of choice, it is no surprise to hear that the Finnish phone manufacturer has decided to overlook the US in terms of a Symbian-powered PureView. Makes perfect sense, no? However, I believe that there is a way “out” of this disappointing news to some – that Nokia will deliver PureView with Windows Phone running inside, so until there is an official announcement from Nokia that the 808 PureView will not arrive Stateside regardless of operating system, we will still hold out that candle of hope burning, keeping our fingers crossed that it will not be extinguished in any way. Do you think that you need a smartphone that can capture 41-megapixel images?
