Back in the day, and we’re pretty sure it’s still happening in schools now, the traditional method of conducting classes and participating in classroom activities involved pen/pencil and paper, although that is slowly changing as schools have started to adopt more digital means through tablets, laptops and computers. Looking to add to that list of tech savvy schools would be the St. Catherine’s School in Waverly, Australia who were recently given Samsung Series 7 SLATE PCs.

Through the use of these devices, teachers and students will be able to easily manage class schedules and homework, allowing for email communication between teachers and students, although we’re not sure all students are thrilled at the idea of being emailed by their teacher after school. The Samsung Series 7 SLATE PCs will feature a touch screen, a digitizer pen, and will utilize a wireless Bluetooth keyboard to help with productivity. This move by the Australian government isn’t new as they have been providing students in the ninth grade or higher with netbooks since 2009.
