Milestones are always something that companies like to look forward to – for instance, we have read about how Apple recently hit the 25th billion app downloaded on the App Store, and when it comes to online games, the volume of subscribers is an indication of success (or failure, depending on which pair of glasses you are looking in from). Star Wars: Clone Wars Adventures has just passed the 10 million registered players mark, and this is in no small part due to the free-to-play business model within two years of the game’s launch. It reached8 million registered users in just one year, and in order to maintain interest, LucasArts has introduced new content for the game to be relevant to the animated TV series, including the summer game series Mission on Iceberg Three, mini-game Aquatic Assault and combat environment Battle of Umbara. Sony Online Entertainment intends to offer in-game Gold Death Watch Armor to each of its 10 million registered users as a token of their appreciation, now how about that?
