PlayStation Vita owners were probably thrilled to hear that 12 additional characters for Street Fighter X Tekken were going to be a Vita exclusive, but the good news for non-Vita owners is that it looks like that exclusivity might not have been so exclusive after all.

Capcom has announced that the 12 additional characters for the fighting game will be made available as downloadable content (DLC) on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and the PC platforms some time later this year, although no specific date was mentioned. However it was revealed that the Vita would be receiving the DLC first with the consoles and PCs to get them after.

For those who might have missed the news, the twelve characters will include Blanka, Cody, Dudley, Elena, Guy and Sakura from the Street Fighter side, and Alisa Bosconovitch, Bryan Fury, Christie Monteiro, Jack, Lars Alexandersson and Lei Wulong from the Tekken franchise. Pricing and availability and additional details are expected to be revealed at a later date.
