It seems that more countries are starting to get unhappy with Apple advertising their new iPad as being 4G capable, and adding on to that list, which includes Germany and Australia, is Sweden whereby the Swedish Consumer Agency has apparently received several complaints from customers over Apple’s new iPad and its inability to hook onto 4G LTE networks outside of North America. While there are 4G LTE networks available in Sweden, it would appear that the new iPad does not support the frequencies used by them, thus forcing users to hook onto 3G/3.5G networks with slower speeds.

At the moment it appears that the Swedish Consumer Agency has yet to take action although they are considering it, but Apple’s Swedish website has since been updated and now reads “The iPad with Wi-Fi + 4G model can roam worldwide on fast GSM/UMTS networks, including HSPA, HSPA+, and DC-HSDPA. When you travel internationally, you can use a micro-SIM card from a local carrier. You can also connect to the 4G LTE networks of AT&T in the U.S. and Bell, Rogers, and Telus in Canada.”
