Huawei in the past has been known for putting out affordable handsets, devices that featured entry-mid level specs and came with a cheap price tagged to it. While they might have changed the image of their company with the launched of the Ascend D Quad at MWC, they might be returning to their budget roots with new myTouch devices for T-Mobile.
This is thanks to a leak which has outed two Huawei myTouch devices, the U8680 and the U8730, both of which share similar hardware and will run on Android 2.3 Gingerbread, and with the main exception being that one will feature a slideout QWERTY keyboard hidden beneath its 480×800 WVGA display.
Unfortunately apart from these set of images and the specs we mentioned, additional details such as processor, memory, camera, etc were not revealed. Some are speculating that these phones will be making an appearance on T-Mobile’s network this Spring along with a wallet-friendly price tag, so if budget phones are your thing, check back with us later for any updates.
