Windows 8 Consumer Preview: one million downloads in one day

Windows 8 Consumer Preview went up for download yesterday, and it looks like it’s already much more popular than the previously released developer preview. According to a Tweet from the Building Windows 8 account – it’s been downloaded one million times in just one day. Compared to the developer preview that hit 500,000 times in one day, it has managed to jump two-fold. It looks like people are either hungry for the new OS, or nobody can resist a freebie.
