Are you an avid comic collector? I remember the early days of Image Comics where Jim Lee was recruited, and the company’s main strength lay in the gorgeous visuals, but story-wise, Image Comics failed to deliver the kind of substance that Marvel and DC had established over the past decades. Apart from that, Valiant Comics, too, entered the scene at around the same time, and I remember Joe Queseda’s work on X-O Manowar alongside the beautiful cover of issue #0 that was quite the rage in the speculator’s market. Well, the comic character is still hanging around nearly a decade later, and in order to mark the release of X-O Manowar #1 this coming May 2, Valiant Comics have introduced a novelty into the cover itself, by throwing in a QR code. This would basically turn the first issue of the new run of X-O Manowar into the first QR code talking comic book cover in the world. No idea if it is going to end up as a collector’s item though. What do you think?
