Parrot ASTEROIDThe Parrot ASTEROID Android-powered radio was unveiled earlier this year at CES 2011, and if you’ve been waiting patiently for its release we’ve got some good news for you. After quite a number of delays, the radio was supposed to be released in October is finally here. The Parrot ASTEROID can now be purchased online from a number of outlets and it carries an MSRP of $349.

In case you were wondering what’s so special about the ASTEROID, it is the world’s first Android-powered car receiver. It can replace your regular radio/CD player when it comes to playing music, your GPS system for navigation, and it can even hook up with your phone for voice-enabled text messaging/emails. It definitely seems like it has the potential to be a very useful and interesting gadget though we’ve haven’t had the chance to review it yet.
