A French designer by the name of Matali Crasset created this hanging over-head lamp that is called the Court Circuit. It might look a bit like 5 circuit boards and the reason for that is because it is. The Court Circuit Lamp is one of those devices that embraces its function as its form and this one is made from uncovered circuit boards with LEDS embedded in them. The form which is much like the petals to a flower still gives the cold-looking circuit board blades a warm-organic overtone.
To make sure that the downward “petals” don’t just focus the light on one spot below it, the designer included several holes in the circuit board itself that allows the 90 LEDs to shine through on both sides. The over-head lamp is currently being showcased in an event being held in Milan and reports indicated that it will eventually go on sale. For now the only information if you are looking to purchase it is that it will come in dark-green, black and gray colors.
