When it comes to shooting great photos, having the ideal equipment is just one part of the inevitably large equation – there are still plenty of other points to consider before the perfect picture comes out. There is a new camera system developed that allows one to snap photos in a jiffy without the need to even look at the viewfinder. This is made possible thanks to a group at Osaka University, where the camera itself will be able to project an outline of the area which will be photographed. Known as ClippingLight, it brings together the idea of a camera and a projector. An area that is bordered by a white frame is where the image will be composed, and it is somewhat akin to attaching a laser pointer to the camera, and pressing the shutter moment at the right time and place.

The whole idea of ClippingLight is to let one snap photos quickly and intuitively, instead of attempting to make the photos look lifelike. It will target tasks such as reading QR codes and taking notes, instead of shooting wedding portraits, so you can be sure that ClippingLight will have its fair share of fans in a potentially niche market.
