When you first took a look at the eco-friendly shopping bag known as Grappa, what came across your mind? “It is just another shopping bag, so what?” will most probably be your train of thought, but hear me out about this potentially life-saving device. Not only does it help ferry your weekly groceries from the store to your doorstep (while spending a huge chunk of its time on the road, of course), it can also double up as a helmet just in case there is an emergency urban situation that calls for you to wear a helmet indoors – such as an earthquake, of course.

Grappa measures roughly the size of an umbrella when it is folded, offering a great degree of portability. If you feel that the world around you is starting to shake and not because you are a naturally dizzy person, then the Grappa shopping bag would get the job done, offering a degree of protection for your noggin’ rather than leave things to fate. I foresee children carrying these to school in Japan since the Land of the Rising Sun is often the victim of massive earthquakes.

One thing that cannot be taken away from the Grappa is this – no one would look hot wearing one of these, as it might even make them look as though they were a beekeeper who lost his or her way around the office.
