Huawei logoHuawei has largely dealt with Android as its choice of operating system so far, but according to WPDang, the company may very well expand their portfolio to include Windows Phone handsets and a possible Windows 8 tablet in the future. According to the report, Huawei has put together a team of 70 engineers who reportedly have been tasked to create a pair of Windows Phone 8 devices. One of the phones will apparently be using components from an existing Android phone and is expected to retail for a pretty affordable $315. The other handset will feature a new design and will sport a 4” display.

As far as the Windows 8 tablet rumor is concerned, it will purportedly be 4G LTE enabled but beyond that, additional details of the device remain unknown. What do you guys think? Anyone here interested in a Huawei Windows Phone or Windows 8 tablet? With the company starting to move on to higher-end devices, it will be interesting to see what they will be able to come up with for Windows Phone, but until an official announcement has been made, we will take this with a grain of salt for now.
