If you happen to own the Amazon Kindle Touch, then you might want to make sure your hardware is always up to date – case in point, the Kindle Touch Software Update Version 5.1.0 has already been released, and with every new update, one can but expect new features thrown into the mix. In this case, we have better language support, sa your Kindle Touch will now be able to run according to the language of your preference – English (US and UK), German, French, Spanish, Italian, or Brazilian Portuguese. You can also use the Landscape Mode, where one is able to alternate between portrait and landscape orientation in books and PDFs in order to read maps, graphs, and tables in an easier manner.

Apart from that, the inclusion of Instant Translations enables you to tap just about any word or highlight a section to instantly translate into other languages, where among them include Spanish and Japanese amongst others. The translation work is done by Bing Translator. The inclusion of Kindle Format 8 also makes the formatting and layout improvements in Kindle books a whole lot easier.

Alternatively, you can connect your Kindle Touch to a Wi-Fi network with WPS and select WPA2 Enterprise networks for added security. There is also the Read-to-Me With Text-to-Speech feature which enables the Kindle Touch to read English-language content out loud.
